A probe has been launched by gardaí based in County Kildare following an incident of theft from a car.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this incident, a garda spokesperson replied: "Gardaí received report of an incident of theft from a car that occurred at approximately 9.30pm on Sunday, October 26 last on the Main Street of Maynooth, County Kildare.
"Investigations are ongoing."
In addition, the crime was also highlighted by Garda Sean O'Mahony when he made an appearance on KFM yesterday morning (October 29 last).
While on air, Gda O'Mahony told host Hannah Kelly that a sum of cash, which was left inside the car, was stolen by the perpetrator(s).
He also urged anyone with any information relating to this theft to contact Maynooth Garda Station on 01 629 2380.
