Work is due to begin on a €27 million warehouse and light industrial development at Mooretown and Crodaun, in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.
The project, part of the Esprit Logistics Park, will transform a 9.8-hectare site adjoining the M4 Interchange Business Park.

The development site includes lands formerly occupied by a dwelling known as Mariposa and is bordered by the M4 Motorway to the north, Celbridge Community School to the south-east, and Salesian College across the R405.
The approved plans provide for 11 warehouse and light industrial units, ranging in height from 10 to 16.2 metres, with a total gross floor area of 27,034 square metres.

Each unit will feature warehouse space, ancillary offices and staff facilities.

The development also includes major road and infrastructure works, including a new entrance and roundabout on the R449 for HGV traffic and modifications to an existing entrance on the R405 to prevent heavy vehicle access. Pedestrian and cycle routes will be created throughout the site and along the road frontage.
In total, 335 car parking spaces, HGV yards, marshalling areas, bicycle parking, signage, landscaping and lighting are planned. A new ESB substation and switch room will also be built to support the site’s energy needs.
Construction is expected to commence in the coming months, marking one of the largest industrial investments in Celbridge in recent years. The project is set to boost local employment and strengthen Kildare’s growing logistics and business infrastructure.
