KCC said there is a process followed for the removal of a reported abandoned vehicle.

The last registered owner is legally responsible for it.

A KCC warden is currently in the process of identifying the owner, who will then be issued with notifications.

This may include placing an abandoned vehicle notice on the vehicle.

The owner is formally written to and is typically given 21 days in which to remove the vehicle. If it’s not removed within that time, the council may arrange to have it taken away.
