Naas Courthouse
A woman and her child were followed home from the child’s football training by her ex-partner.
The woman made the allegation at a Naas District Court sitting where she sought protection.

She said that a previous protection order had expired.
On another occasion he allegedly said: “I’ll pick my f…… daughter up from school.”
Judge Desmond Zaidan said that while there are undoubtedly issues between the couple, these can be dealt with in a family law court rather than by seeking an order.
He said he would grant the order anyway “but strictly speaking I shouldn’t, but I will do so for peace and quiet.”
Judge Zaidan said that “every little row” is followed by one party coming to court seeking an emergency application.
He adjourned the case for a fuller hearing to May 25 and he told the woman if she did not turn up for that hearing he would strike out the order.
