A planning application has been submitted to Kildare County Council for alterations and extensions to an existing shop and apartment in Coill Dubh, Co Kildare.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), a planning application was submitted to the local authority on November 14 2025 for a site at Blackwood Court, 40 Coill Dubh, Coill Dubh, Co Kildare.

As per the details outlined in the application, the scheme comprises of “alterations and extensions to an existing shop and apartment, to include relocation of existing internal stairwell serving apartment Number one and replacing it with new external stairwell.”
There is a proposed reconfiguration to the shop retail area to include the area of the removed, internal stairwell.
There are also proposed changes to the shop front elevation, as well as elevational changes due to the proposed new external stairwell and associated site works.
The architect in charge of the project is JA Gorman Consulting Engineers Limited, and the estimated cost of works is €30.6k.
The total site area is 0.069ha.
