He said they have since separated and the both attended a wedding abroad, where she followed him to the hotel room and attacked him. He claimed she then contacted the police claiming he had assaulted her.

He said all charges were eventually dropped and he praised the police in that country for getting to the bottom of the matter.

He said they both live in the same house and she has attacked him there. He also said he had never instigated any assault and said he had only tried to push her away in self defence.

The man also said he locks himself in the back bedroom and added “I have to use bottles because I can’t go to the bathroom.”

He is unable to go to the kitchen and “my standard of life is ruined.”

The man further claimed that she stands outside his bedroom at two and three in the morning.

During the incident there she said she was drunk and had her hands all over another man and they disappeared for half an hour.

This was followed by the hotel bedroom assault and he then left for the airport prior to being arrested.

He said that what he told the piece was supported by CCTV images at the hotel.

He added the woman, who was not present or represented, threw his medication in the bin and he was afraid to use the fridge because he fears she will interfere with his food.

He also said he had a dog and was afraid she would injure it.

He said he still loves her but he is attending counselling and trying to do the right thing.

Judge Desmond Zaidan told the man he has to break free of the relationship and he granted a barrier order.
