COLLISION; The sole occupant of the car, a man in his 80's, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single vehicle road traffic incident that occurred on the Curragh Road, Kildare town on Wednesday afternoon (November 26) at approximately 1:35pm.

The sole occupant of the car, a man in his 80's, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Coroner was notified and the body of the man has been removed to the mortuary at Naas General Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

The scene was subject to technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The road has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on Wednesday 26th November 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
