An animal rescue group based in County Kildare has released urgent appeal to the general public for some very specific items.
Explaining the nature of the appeal (no pun intended), Kildare Wildlife Rescue (KWR) said: "We are looking for donations of clean PVC pipes and drainage pipes as enrichment tunnels for our wildlife patients."
KWR also asked anyone who wishes to help provide these materials to email info@kwr.ie.
BRIEF BACKGROUND
Established in 2022, KWR later acquired its own site near Kildare town in July of that same year.
The organisation's centre is divided into a number of areas and pens, which are specially designated for a different type of wild animal.
KWR is a registered charity and is led by its manager, Dan Donoher, who is also known for his previous work with Kildare Animal Foundation.
