Moorefield's Mark Murnaghan has been ratified as the new manager of Allenwood alongside Niall Hurley Lynch who will join him as a coach and lead strength and conditioning at the Kildare SFC team.
Allenwood avoided the drop in 2025 with a relegation final win over Confey thanks to Johnny Doyle heroics having lost every single one of the previous 15 games this year.
Murnaghan is an experienced manager who led the Wicklow ladies to an All-Ireland Junior Championship in 2021, having gotten the Garden County to the final in his first year the season prior. Murnaghan and Lynch have moved as a pair before when they joined Ballymore Eustace together in 2022.
Allenwood man David Burke will also join the management team as a selector, with further roles being filled in due course.
