A planning application has been submitted to Kildare County Council for 78 new residential homes in Sallins, Co Kildare.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), planning ref no.
2561390 – a proposed €18.8m development - was submitted to the local authority on December 5 2025 by William Neville and Sons Construction Limited (WN Developments.)
Planning ref 2561390 represents Phase 1 of an overall development, addressed at Clane Road & Sallins Link Road, Sallins, Co Kildare.
The architect for the development is Halley Murphy & Associates.
The proposed construction of Phase 1 comprises the following (78 units in total):
29 houses comprising 23 3-storey 4 bedroom semi-detached/terraced houses and 6 2-storey 3-bedroom semi-detached houses;
5 apartment and duplex blocks (Blocks 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) containing 49 units (6 1-bedroom, 31 2-bedroom and 12 no. 3-bedroom units), all with associated terraces or balconies;
Block 2 at 3-4 storeys containing 4 1-bedroom and 4 2-bedroom duplex units and 8 2-bedroom apartments;
Block 3 at 3-4 storeys containing 4 2-bedroom and 4 3-bedroom duplex units and 4 no. 2-bedroom apartments;
Blocks 4 and 5 at 3-storeys, each containing 4 2-bedroom and 4 3-bedroom duplex units;
Block 6 at 3-storeys containing 2 1-bedroom and 3 2-bedroom apartments (Block 6 is also included in the concurrent Phase 2 application).

Creche
The development will also include a creche located at ground floor in Block 6; vehicular and pedestrian access from Sallins Link Road and pedestrian access from Clane Road; internal access roads and surface level car parking serving Phase 1 and part of Phase 2 (137 spaces); and bicycle parking and bin storage.
The development is to also include public open spaces including multi-use games area (MUGA), communal open spaces, landscaping, boundary treatments and all associated site development works and services.
