A park and ride facility is likely to be developed adjacent to the N7, near Kill.
Once open it would allow motorists to park there and take public transport to Dublin and back.

Kildare County Council engineer Dónal Hodgins told a Naas Municipal District committee meeting it is up to the National Transport Authority to develop it and he said the NTA is looking to develop a strategic park and ride site.
Mr Hodgins also said the N7 has been identified as a key corridor and the location being considered is close to Kill village.
He told a Naas Municipal District committee meeting that the councillors will be informed when more information is available.
He was responding to a call by Cllr Fintan Brett for a facility to be built on Kildare County Council-owned land near Johnstown village, between the Johnstown-Kill slip road and the N7.
“There has been no progress on this over a number of years (and) when accidents happen on the N7 traffic is diverted through nearby villages,” he said, adding “I don’t understand why this cannot be done.”
