Gardaí in North Kildare have been active throughout the festive period to ensure community safety and to uphold the law.
On Sunday night (December 6), during a MIT checkpoint operation, Kildare gardai arrested a motorist on suspicion of drink driving after they failed a roadside breath test.
On Tuesday (December 9) Kildare gardai conducted a targeted anti-theft operation which resulted in four individuals being arrested and charged. They are due to appear before the courts later this month.
Gardai continue to enforce the proper use of disabled parking bays, and warn, for clarity, excuses such as “I had my hazards on” will not be accepted. €150 FCPN issued.
A message from An Garda Síochána Kildare stated: “We thank the public for their ongoing cooperation and wish everyone a safe and peaceful festive season.”
