Councillors representing the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District (MD) agreed upon the residual Local Property Tax allocations at the MD's latest meeting.
The matter was discussed in the headquarters of Kildare County Council on Wednesday, December 17 last, and all allocations were proposed by Fianna Fáil Cllr Brian O'Loughlin.
Specifically, Cllr O'Loughlin proposed the following allocations: €1,250 to Rathangan Mens Shed; €1,000 to Rathangan Womens Shed; €750 to Rathview Residence Association Rathangan; €900 to Milltown Tidy Towns; and €900 to Fr Moore’s Well committee, for the 200th anniversary celebrations in 2026.
These allocations were seconded by his party colleague, Suzanne Doyle.
