A man arrested in connection to two 2024 criminal damage by fire incidents, both of which occurred in North Kildare, has been released without charge.

A garda spokesperson explained: "Gardaí continue to investigate all the circumstances surrounding two incidents of criminal damage by fire that occurred in Leixlip, County Kildare in the early hours of Tuesday, January 30, 2024 and Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

"The male (aged in his 30’s), arrested on Tuesday, January 13 last, in connection with this investigation has been released without charge pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)."

The spokesperson added that investigations are ongoing.
