Two burglaries which occurred in County Kildare and are believed to be potentially linked have prompted a garda investigation.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about these crimes, which both occurred in Naas, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána provided a comment on the two burglaries.
Referring to the first incident, the spokesperson responded: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged burglary at a residential property in the Lakelands Area, Naas, County Kildare , which occurred between the hours of 7.30pm and 8pm on January 11 last.
"[The] investigation is ongoing," they added.
As for the second incident, the spokesperson replied: "Gardaí are also investigating an alleged burglary at a residential property in the Esmondale Area, Naas, County Kildare, which occurred between the hours of 6.30pm and 7pm on January 11 last."

They also said: "[The] investigation is ongoing."
Furthermore, a member of An Garda Síochána, Garda Sarah O'Sullivan, told KFM yesterday (January 14 last) that gardaí believe that the two burglaries may be linked, as they have "similar M.O.s [modus operandi]".
In addition, she said that three youths who were dressed all in black were spotted fleeing the Lakelands Area following the incident there.
Gda O'Sullivan concluded by urging anyone with information relating to one or both burglaries to contact Naas Garda Station on 045 884 300.
