A man alleged at a Naas District Court sitting that his former partner left their children in the care of a 16 year old.
The man sought protection at a family law hearing and said that the woman has a protection order, granted in court, against him.

He said he was made aware by one of the children that another child was self harming and when his partner became aware of this, she reacted against the child who told the father what had happened.
“There is a lot going on in that house," he told Judge Desmond Zaidan, adding “I’m not there to see what’s going on.” The woman was not present or represented.
He said the woman told the child that they should not have told him about the alleged self harming incident.
He alleged the woman had thrown coins in the face of the child and left the children in the care of a teen overnight.
Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an interim protection order, adjourning the case to May 25.
