An Garda Síochána Kildare recently stopped a learner driver on the M7 motorway at Cherryville, Kildare.
Gardaí would like to remind the public:
Learner drivers are not allowed on motorways
Learners must be accompanied by a qualified driver
Learners must have insurance
The following actions were taken against this learner driver:
The vehicle was seized by Naas Roads Policing Unit
Fixed Charge Penalty Notices were issued
A court appearance is to follow for no insurance
A garda spokesperson said: “Reminder: L plates, a qualified driver, and insurance aren’t optional extras! Stay safe, follow the rules, and keep the learning where it belongs — off the motorway.”
