Barberstown Castle is particularly renowned for creating weddings that feel not only spectacular, but deeply personal. With its one-wedding-a-day policy, couples enjoy exclusive use of the 16th century banquet hall, wedding gardens, and private courtyards, a private world devoted solely to couples and their guests.

Increasingly, couples are choosing to turn their celebration into a two-day affair, and Barberstown is perfectly set up for this. The Castle’s charming private pub, The Haggard, can be booked exclusively for relaxed celebrations the following day, complete with casual dining or a barbecue in the grounds, giving guests a chance to reconnect, reminisce and extend the magic.

Food is at the heart of every Barberstown Castle wedding, and it is something the venue is truly famous for. The Castle’s reputation for phenomenal cuisine means menus are not just memorable, but a genuine highlight of the celebration, created using the very best ingredients and delivered with warmth, precision and flair.

It is this combination of exceptional food, romantic surroundings and impeccable service that makes weddings at Barberstown Castle feel so complete. .

The property won ‘The Good Food Ireland Best Hotel Restaurant Award’ for the Barton Rooms Restaurant in 2025, testament to the skill of the chef and the team’s commitment to using the best, in season ingredients.
At the centre of the property is a medieval keep dating back to 1288, later enriched with Victorian and Elizabethan additions that give the Castle its richly layered, timeless character. Candlelit corridors, historic stone walls and elegant rooms create a setting that feels both grand and intimate — a place that seems to have been designed for love stories.

For couples who can’t make the Castle showcase, Barberstown Castle will also be exhibiting at the RDS Wedding Showcase on 24 and 25 January 2026 at Stand E7, so meet the team and explore what the venue has to offer.

Quite simply, Barberstown Castle has all the ingredients for a magical wedding: extraordinary food, deeply romantic surroundings, outstanding service and a team who understand that no two love stories — and no two weddings — should ever be the same.
