The board of SURF (Substance Use Regional Forum), welcomes new manager Grace Hill. SURF’S function is to research, develop and implement a coordinated, regionally appropriate response to problematic substance use.
The South Western Regional Drugs & Alcohol Task Force, changed its name to SURF in 2023 when becoming a limited company.
SURF is a hub within Kildare, west Wicklow and south and west Dublin, which aims to tackle problematic substance use and its impact on individual people and society.
Ms Hill joined the Tallaght Drugs and Alcohol Task Force (TDATF) as a development worker.
Her parents helped set up the Ballyfermot STAR project, started in 1998 as an initiative in response to heroin use and its impact on individuals, families and their community. For more information on SURF and the essential services they work with, go to www.surfonline.ie
