Three Kildare residential areas are to be 'taken over' by the county council

Information about the three estates has been provided by Kildare County Council
Information has been provided about the taking in charge (TIC) of three Maynooth estates, which means Kildare County Council will effectively assume responsibility for any future infrastructural works.
At Moyglare Hall, the developer has been carrying out remedial works to address surface defects (snags) in recent months.
Cllr Peter Melrose was told at a Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting that KCC is engaging with the developer about outstanding documentation required to progress the TIC process.
No TIC request has been received regarding Newtown Hall, but KCC is engaging with the developer to address outstanding items and significant work has been carried out by the developer in recent years including road surfacing, ramp and signage installation and upgrades to the waste water pumping station.
KCC has started works at Castledawson and works completed include tree removal, public lighting repairs and drainage repairs. A contractor is due to carry out footpath repairs and it’s then intended to have it taken in charge.
