Gardaí based in County Kildare are currently probing the burglary of a home in Newbridge.
The incident was highlighted by Garda Orlath Fahy, who appeared as a guest on a KFM programme which aired earlier today (February 4).
She explained to host Hannah Kelly that the crime took place on Thursday, January 29 last in The Park region of the Belin Woods housing estate.
Gda Fahy went on to say that the perpetrators entered the house at around 8.50pm and smashed the back patio door of the home in order to gain entry.

In addition, she said that the perpetrators fled the scene in a black hatchback car, "possibly a Volkswagen Golf or a SEAT Ibiza".
Gda Fahy concluded by urging anyone with information relating to this incident to contact Newbridge Garda Station on 045 440 180.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí attended a scene of a burglary in a residential area in Newbridge, County Kildare on Thursday, January 29 last 2026 at approximately 8.50pm."
The spokesperson also said that investigations are ongoing.
