The St Patrick's Day Parade for Newbridge was officially launched in a well-known County Kildare hotel last week.
It comes after the Committee organising the Parade announced last week that the 2026 iteration of the town's St Patrick’s Day Parade "will proudly celebrate volunteers and business".
The official event to celebrate the launch took place inside The Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge last Friday evening (January 30 last).

THEME FOR 2026
According to the Commitee's original statement, for the 2026 St Patrick's Day Parade, it wants to highlight "the vital role that voluntary organisations, community clubs and local businesses play in building and sustaining community life".
The Committee explained: "Under the theme 'Marching as One — Volunteers and Business, the Heart of a Community', the parade will recognise the people who give their time, skills, employment and local investment to support inclusion, participation and civic pride.
"Voluntary groups and community organisations are being encouraged to place their volunteers at the heart of their parade entry, showcasing the work they do locally while also highlighting opportunities for new volunteers to get involved."
The 2026 Parade will commence at 11.45am on March 17, 2026.
