Life Credit Union in Kildare is currently seeking interest for becoming a member of their Board of Directors.

The Credit Union, which has branches in Naas, Newbridge and Maynooth, said that serving on the board is a chance to shape the future of a member-owned financial institution that exists to improve lives and give back to the community, not maximize profits.

A statement added: "Your decisions will influence access to fair financial services, community investment, and long-term sustainability.

"Volunteering is also very rewarding on a personal level. Board members develop strategic thinking, financial literacy, governance expertise and leadership skills.

"You’ll work alongside people from diverse backgrounds and gain experience that strengthens your CV and your confidence.

Frank Murphy, Chair of the Life Credit Union Board, stated: “I’m often asked why people choose to volunteer their time at the board table. The short answer is simple: because it matters - to our members, to our communities, and to the volunteers themselves.”

“But, just as important, board service offers connection and purpose. Being part of a cooperative reminds us of what collective effort can achieve.

"You see the real-world impact of your time and ideas - and that’s deeply motivating.”

Life Credit Union are now inviting new volunteers to register their interest in joining the Board.
You don’t need to be a finance expert; curiosity, integrity, and time to commit are what matters.
Training and support are provided, and your perspective is genuinely valued.
If you’re ready to give back, grow your skills, and help guide an organization that puts members first, register your interest and be part of shaping a stronger future - together.
