Plans for a Newbridge, Co Kildare hairdressers to be transformed into an amusement/gaming arcade have been approved following appeal.
According to Construction Information Services, An Coimisiún Pleanála approved planning permission following appeal on February 9 2026.
The appeal followed a refusal of the application by the local authority on September 22 2025 – which was first submitted to KCC on July 18 2025.

The scheme consists of the extending of an existing amusement/gaming arcade into an adjoining property at Charlotte St/Eyre Street, Newbridge, Co. Kildare.
The application will also include the change of use of the adjoining property from "Hairdressing" into amusement/gaming arcade.
The estimated cost of the project is €297k.
