A well-known business in County Kildare has released a heartfelt statement to the public following a bereavement.
Last week, the bar and restaurant Judge Roy Beans, which is located in Newbridge, announced that it would temporarily close following the passing of its owner, the late Vivian Carroll.
Mr Carroll, a popular businessman who also owned Harrigan's Bar and Grill in Newbridge, was officially laid to rest on Saturday, February 7 last.
Many locals in the town, as well as fellow business people and political representatives, paid tribute to his memory following his death.
UPDATE
Taking to social media today, Judge Roy Beans revealed that the premises will be reopening soon.
The business said: "We will be reopening this Wednesday [February 11, 2026].
"Thank you everyone for all your support."
Judge Roy Beans added: "We are excited to welcome everyone back in."
A number of people in the comments expressed their joy at the news, with one saying: "Delighted to hear that you’re opening.
"It will be hard for everyone, but Vivian wouldn’t want it any other way."
Mr Carroll, who is predeceased by his dad Michael and brother Jason, is sadly missed by his loving wife Breda, children Christian, Sadhbh, Elliott and Roan, mother Cecelia, sister Michelle, brother Patrick, mother-in-law Bridie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, extended family, relatives, friends and all of his work colleagues.
