Traffic management issues at the entrance of one County Kildare estate have prompted a review from Kildare County Council (KCC).

The matter was brought to KCC's attention by Labour Party councillor Angela Feeney at the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District (MD) meeting, which took place on Friday, February 6 last.

Specifically, she urged KCC to review the traffic management issues present at the yellow box outside the entrance to Leinster Park, Old Dublin Road in Maynooth.

Her motion was seconded by Fine Gael Cllr Tim Durkan.

Replying to Cllr Feeney's motion, KCC said via the report it presented at the meeting: "The MD Engineer will review the yellow box outside the entrance to Leinster Park."

KCC also told her that the Municipal District Engineer has met with the residents of Leinster Park in relation to the interaction between the R148 and their access road.

Cllr Feeney responded by saying that she was happy with the report.

She also asked KCC to provide her with any future updates relating to the matter.
