Three people on trolleys at Kildare's main hospital today

It's the second least overcrowded facility in the east

There are three patients being treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today, having been admitted through the accident and emergency department.

It's the least overcrowded hospital in the eastern region, apart from Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, which has two patients on trolleys.

The most overcrowded facility is St Vincent's Hospital where there are 51 people on trolleys.

At Portlaoise Hospital there was a single patient being treated on a trolley and at Tullamore Hospital there were none.
