Kildare town AFC seeking donations of clothes as part of latest fundraiser

Kildare town AFC has announced that it is accepting donations of clothing as part of its latest fundraiser.

The club is currently seeking "good quality items" for re-use.

According to Kildare town AFC, examples of such items include:

  • Men's, ladies' and children's clothing
  • Paired shoes
  • Bedsheets
  • Towels
  • Handbags
  • Ties
  • Scarves
  • Soft toys
  • Hats
  • Bags
  • Belts
  • Curtains

Conversely, items which will not be accepted include:

  • Charity shop items
  • Duvets
  • Pillows and cushions
  • Carpets and rugs
  • Mats (including bathroom, shower and toilet mats)
  • Soiled, painted, ripped, wet or damaged clothing
  • School uniforms with or without a logo
  • Textile off cuts
  • Yarn and threaded material
  • Corporate clothing and workwear

The donated items can be dropped to Kildare town AFC's clubhouse (R51 XW57) during the following dates and times:

  • Thursday, February 19, 2026 and Friday, February 20, 2026 between 6pm and 8pm
  • Saturday, February 21, 2026 between 10am and 1pm
  • Sunday, February 22, 2026 between 10am and 11am

It should be noted that no bags of donated items will be accepted after 11am on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
