False documents used by pair to get €5,000 loan from Kildare credit union, it's alleged in court

It's claimed a bank statement and payslip were provided

Two people appeared at Naas District Court to face an allegation of applying for a loan using false documents.

Zanna Petrova, 58,  whose address was given as Butterstream, Clane and Eduards Urbanovics 54, whose address was also given as Butterstream, Clane, were each prosecuted in relation to a loan of €5,000.

The items used, the court heard, were a bank statement and a payslip and it is alleged the offences occurred on February 2, 20232 and March 28, 2023, respectively at Life Credit Union, Main Street, Naas,

The court was told that all of the money was paid back.

Judge Desmond Zaidan said he would accept jurisdiction, meaning the case will be heard in the district court.

The matter was adjourned and he requested the presence of a Russian translator when the case goes ahead.
