Plans have been granted for a €3.7 million residential development at Ferns Bridge in Monasterevin, Co. Kildare, paving the way for the construction of 24 new homes on a 0.71-hectare site.

The development will comprise 14 two- and three-bedroom terraced houses, along with 10 residential units in a single three-storey block, including one-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom duplexes.

Vehicular access to the scheme will be provided via Ferns Avenue to the north, which connects to the R414 Oldgrange Road to the east, as well as through internal roads within the wider Ferns Bridge development.

The scheme will deliver a total floor area of approximately 2,410 square metres.

The decision to grant planning permission was issued on February 13, 2026.
