Gardai in Newbridge, Co Kildare are investigating a burglary which occurred between 10pm on February 20 2026 and 9am on February 21 2026.
Details of the crime were given by Gda Brian Carroll of Newbridge Garda Station to Kfm host Hannah Kelly this week.
The incident occurred in the Piercetown area of Newbridge, when a house was broken into via the rear door.

The offender took the keys to a silver Toyota Hilux, reg. no. 252C1409.
The vehicle was later recovered in Rosconnell estate in Newbridge.
Gardai are appealing for anyone with information on this burglary or who saw anyone driving this vehicle on February 21 to contact Newbridge Garda Station at (045) 440180.
When asked about this incident, a garda spokesperson stated: “Gardaí are investigating an alleged burglary and unauthorised taking of a vehicle from a residential premises in Newbridge Co. Kildare between 8:00pm on 20th February, 2026 and 9:00am on the 21st February, 2026.
“The vehicle has since been recovered and subject to technical examination. Investigations are ongoing.”
