A minute’s silence will be held in Naas for the International Day of Remembrance for Fallen Police Officers this Friday, March 6.
All members of the public are welcome to attend Naas Garda Station where the mark of respect will take place on the steps outside at 6:30pm.
The station lights will be turned blue and the flag will fly at half-mast until sundown on Saturday, March 7.

Also on Saturday, An Garda Síochána will join police services across the world in recognising INTERPOL’s International Day of Remembrance for Fallen Police Officers.
To date, 90 members of An Garda Síochána have died while protecting their communities.
A spokesperson for gardaí in Kildare said on social media, “This day serves as an opportunity to pause, reflect and remember their courage and sacrifice. Please join us in paying tribute to those who gave their lives in the line of duty.”
