Pedestrian crossing 'is needed in this Kildare town centre'

A raised table crossing in Naas should be upgraded to a proper pedestrian crossing.

Cllr Bill Clear made the call at a Naas Municipal District meeting.

In the meantime, he said, Kildare County Council should “urgently arrange for the repainting and refreshing of the raised table pedestrian crossing located between the Fairgreen and the lakes, on the road heading towards the hospital.”

KCC said it will assess the current condition of the line markings at the raised table crossing, which was upgraded in 2024.

And if work is needed, it will be done.
