More cycle lanes and footpaths on the way to this Kildare town

Council blocks €11m plan for 44 new homes near Naas town centre

Work will start on a project to provide cycle paths, bus lanes and an improved environment for pedestrians in Naas.

Cllr Bill Clear asked at a Naas Municipal District meeting when construction work will start “given that successive funding has been allocated over the past few years.”

According to Kildare County Council engineer Dónal Hodgins it is intended to start construction on the first phase this year. This will connect the Maudlins interchange junction 9) to the junction with The Gallops/Maudlins Avenue estates.
