Regarding the first incident, he told host Hannah Kelly that it occurred in Brand Max in Naas on Wednesday, March 18 last.
He said that just after 4pm, a male and female entered into the shop and proceeded to steal items of clothing from the business.
According to Gda Connolly, they both activated the alarm system but managed to flee the scene.
He then revealed that another theft incident occurred shortly afterwards at Canning's Pharmacy in Newbridge.
DESCRIPTION OF SUSPECTS
Gda Connolly explained that the two incidents may involve the two same perpetrators, as the description of the perpetrators in both the Naas and Newbridge thefts were very similar.
He explained that in both cases, the male was described as a bald male who wore glasses and a blue / navy jacket, while the female was described as having dark hair and wore dark clothing.
In addition, Gda Connolly said that in the case of the Naas incident, the two suspects were seen entering into a black and white Nissan Juke car which was being driven by a blonde female.
He further said that the car had a partial '261-D' registration plate.
Gda Connolly concluded by urging anyone with information can contact Naas Garda Station on 045 884 300 or Newbridge Garda Station on 045 440 180.
