Three brand-new all-weather football pitches could soon be constructed in one County Kildare region.

According to a planning permission application currently with Kildare County Council (KCC), Ballyoulster United AFC wants to construct the pitches on its grounds at Loughlinstown Road in Celbridge.

Specifically, the description of the application notes that Ballyoulster United AFC intends to construct the pitches "with perimeter fencing, perimeter walking track, floodlighting and additional car parking".

Permission is also being sought by the club for all associated site works.

The date received on the application is listed as March 29 last.

The submission-by and due dates are listed as May 2, 2026 and May 23, 2026 respectively.

BACKGROUND

The official website for Ballyoulster United AFC notes that it was founded back in 1968.

The club competes in the both Dublin and District Schoolboys League, as well as the Leinster Senior League.

Ballyoulster United AFC has over 500 members.
