The theft of cash and jewellery from a County Kildare residence has prompted a garda investigation.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about this crime, a garda spokesperson replied: "Gardaí received a report of a burglary at a residence at Kilmoney South, Rathangan, County Kildare, which occurred sometime between 5pm on March 25, 2026 and 11.30am on March 29 last."

"Cash and jewellery were taken."

The spokesperson added that investigations into this incident are ongoing.
