A garda appeal has been launched following the theft of a 'large amount' of cigarettes from a County Kildare shop.
The incident was brought up by Garda Lenny Donnellan during a recent guest appearance on KFM.

He explained to host Hannah Kelly that the cigarettes were stolen from Conlon's Centra in Athy.
Gda Donnellan added that the two male perpetrators broke a window in order to access the premises and steal the cigarettes.
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION
He further said that the two males were seen operating a Black Audi vehicle during this incident.
The vehicle has the following registration plate: '08-DL-15279'.
Gda Donnellan concluded by urging anyone with information relating to this burglary to contact Athy Garda Station on 059 863 4210.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this crime, a garda spokesperson replied: "Gardaí attended a scene of a burglary at a business premises in Athy, County Kildare in the early hours of Sunday, April 5 last."
The spokesperson added that investigations into this incident are ongoing.
