Naas RPU were out on patrol when the drivers were detected
While out on patrol recently, Naas Roads Policing Unit detected something very disturbing on Kildare's roads.
No less than three separate drivers towing horseboxes were caught using their mobile phones while driving.
According to Naas RPU, on farmer was more interested in “farming likes” on his phone instead of focusing on the road.
All three drivers were stopped and issued with:
-
€120 fine
-
3 penalty points
A garda spokesperson said “Let’s be clear: if your phone is in your hand, your attention isn’t on the road. And that’s how lives get changed in a second.
“That quick glance at your phone? It’s not worth it. No message is more important than making it home safely.
“Keep your hands on the wheel, not your phone.”
