Newbridge gets best ever report for fighting litter

Naas and Newbridge are cleaner than European norms, while Maynooth is ranked as clean to European norms. That is according to An Taisce, which carries out the twice yearly survey on behalf of IBAL. Killarney is Ireland's most litter free town, according to the Irish Businesses Against Litter League. Maynooth has risen rising from 36th to 21st position in the ranking of 40 towns and cities nationwide, while Naas is in 12th spot, with Newbridge in a best-ever 14th position. North Inner City Dublin was listed as seriously littered while Farranree in Cork city has been called a litter blackspot.
