by Louise McCarthy An overnight break-in at Kilcullen Mart has resulted in tens thousands of euros worth of damages. Newly purchased computers were stolen along with television screens and shredders over the weekend. A staff member entered the mart on Monday morning only to be met by a ransacked office. It is believed that the mart was broken into between Saturday evening and the early hours of Sunday morning. Uncertainty hung over the running of Wednesday's mart as its smooth operation is dependent on having an up to date technical system for storing vital details on livestock. However, computers have now been replaced and the mart will run as normal. There is no CCTV recording of the break in. Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone close to Kilcullen Mart between Saturday evening last and Monday morning and are urged to contact Killcullen Station on 045/ 481212.
