Uncertainty over former Employment Exchange Office Newbridge

The Office of Public Works have confirmed that the former Employment Exchange Office in Newbridge is "being retained for future State use." Some residents had expressed the hope that the premises, in Market Square, would be turned over to community use. The OPW, in a statement to Kildare/Newbridge Cllr., Willie Crowley, says it is "not currently is a position to confirm which State agency will occupy the building. ''
