Guinness heir's Naas mansion and contents on market for over 3m

A Georgian mansion owned by a Guinness heir near Naas is expected to fetch €2.5m. Furness House, which dates to 1740 and is set on some 34 acres, boasts a total of 15 bedrooms. The owner Patrick Guinness is also separately selling off the contents of the property including Guinness family heirlooms, art and antiques. Mr Guinness is a seventh generation direct descendant of Guinness founder Arthur Guinness. The auction, which consists of 700 lots with a total value of €750,000, will take place at the Killashee Hotel, Naas on October 6.
