Traffic Update: Celbridge and Maynooth taking the hit for earlier collision

A crash has been cleared on the M4 Sligo/ Dublin Rd eastbound between Junction 7 Maynooth and Junction 6 Celbridge. Local taxi firms reported a a long tailback in the area but delays are easing slowly. A 2 Z Cabs said motorists were crawling along in first gear towards the city limits. It was also very busy from the Glenroyal Hotel to Straffan Roundabout in Maynooth. Gardai reported no incidents along the M7 corridor but volumes around on and off ramps were causing congestion.
