Labour's Mark Wall takes father's seat in Kildare South

Labour Councillor Mark Wall has been selected as the Party’s candidate for Kildare South in the forthcoming general election. Party Leader and Tánaiste Joan Burton was present at the selection convention. The Tánaiste said: “I’m delighted to be here to select Mark Wall as our candidate for Kildare South for the next general election. Mark will be a proud standard bearer for Labour here, following in Jack’s footsteps. “Mark Wall has been a tireless worker for the people of Athy and wider afield, for places like Ballymore Eustace, Kilcullen and Nurney. The former Mayor of Kildare is the son of Cllr Jack Wall who is stepping down.
