Major flood works in line for Dara Park

Dara Park
A major flood relief scheme at a Newbridge housing estate is set to be completed by this Christmas. Works valued at €200,000 could permanently eliminate flooding problems for residents at Dara Park. A working group, comprising Dara Park residents, Kildare County Council officials and councillors was established to deal with a range of issues. KCC has now launched plan aimed at dealing with flooding, following a complete assessment of existing drainage in the estate. That found " numerous deficiencies in the existing surface water network". The project has gone out to tender.
