Traffic update: Two fires causing poor visibility on Kildare motorways

A vehicle on fire between J10 and J9 eastbound on the M4 has caused slight delays, with visibility particularly poor around the scene. Traffic in Naas and Newbridge is moving slowly as the school run has added to congestion in both towns, while the Sallins road is also beginning to get busier. A large fire from a field adjacent to the M9 on the Kildare/Carlow border is threatening to cause delays as smoke continues to pour out from the scene. Visibility may be poor in the area. Current travel time from the Red Cow Roundabout on the M50 to J11 between the M7 and M9 is approximately 22 minutes.
