Evening weather update: Grab your brollies, it's going to be a wet one
11 Sept 2015
It took a bit longer than initially expected, but the rain is here and it is set to stay for the remainder of the evening and to continue on into the next few days. It will be the west and south-west that will bare the brunt of the the rain this evening as they have been issued with an orange weather alert, but Kildare and the rest of Leinster have also been alerted with a 'yellow weather warning'. There is a threat of spot flooding in some areas around the county, with rainfall expected to range from 25-35mm throughout tonight. Temperatures remain around the same as they have done for the past number of days, with overnight temperatures ranging between 12 and 15 degrees. The temperature right now is 16 degrees. Driving conditions are quite poor due to surface water on the roads, so please drive slowly and remain cautious at all times.
