LittleHills Rescue & Animal Sanctuary to feature in two upcoming programmes on Irish television

Littlhehills hen run
A Kildare based animal sanctuary will feature in two upcoming programmes on Irish television, focusing on their amazing success at rescuing 22,000 laying hens in recent years. Their most recent mission involved a mere 900 hens but next February, proprietor Susan Anderson will head a rescue team to save 7,000 battery hens from extermination with another 1,000 to be saved in March. “TV3’s Ireland Animal Rescue starts weekly from Monday next at 8.30pm and we expect to be featured in October. We even made the trailer!” said Susan. Last week, Pet Island were onsite at the centre which is located between Ballymore Eustace and Dunlavin and that programme should air in the New Year, ahead of their next ‘Chicken Run 7,000’. “After the Kildare Post ran a front page article last month, we were inundated with requests for hens and simply didn’t have enough to cope with the waiting list. So rest assured, Co Kildare, we will have 7,000 hens in February next , all requiring homes!” The centre currently has horses, ponies and dogs seeking homes. All dogs are neutered, wormed and treated for fleas. Log onto LittleHills Rescue and Animal Sanctuary on Facebook or contact Susan at 087 204 7911,
