Time for NAMA to act on unfinished Naas town centre!
18 Sept 2015
Fine Gael TD for Kildare North, Anthony Lawlor, has this evening called on NAMA to expedite the sale of Naas Town Centre and to have the vacant building, which has been an eyesore for too long, completed and open for trading.
He revealed that in recent weeks he has been contacted by a number of groups interested in buying the unfinished Town Centre building in Naas. The Kildare TD says he has directed these people towards NAMA who hold the balance of power on all decisions made on the building. He says the time is ripe for NAMA to sell this development as the local economy recovers.
Deputy Lawlor believes the state of the current building and the cranes which have become a permanent feature of the town's landscape are a constant reminder to the people of Naas of the recent economic difficulties the town has faced. He believes to have this building completed would put this dark period rightly in its in place - our past.
